ArtScapades - The Art of Post Revolution Mexico From the Muralists to Frida

Wednesday, November 18, 2020

Just before 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18th, make yourself comfortable, grab a drink, maybe even your dinner, and click on the link you were sent to join the Zoom presentation…then sit back and watch ArtScapades. The Art of Post Revolution Mexico concentrates on artists who were working after the 1910 Mexican Revolution. It was a period when artists set aside the constraints of colonialism and dictatorship, and began to tell the story of the Mexican people. The life and works of two of the most well-known Mexican Muralists, José Clemente Orozco and Diego Rivera will be discussed, as well as that of the infamous Frida Kahlo. To register for this lecture, send an email to clahey@norwalkpl.org and you will receive an email with a link to join to watch ArtScapades present The Art of Post Revolution Mexico: From the Muralists to Frida.
