ArtScapades / Women of Impressionism: From French to American / On Zoom2023-03-01T18:30:00Just before 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1st, make yourself comfortable,
grab a drink, maybe even your dinner, and click on the link you were sent to join
the ZOOM presentation…then sit back and watch Women of Impressionism:
From French to American.
In this lecture, ArtScapades looks at the lives and works of three women artists,
two French, Marie Bracquemond and Berthe Morisot, and one American, Mary
Cassatt, who despite being American, was considered a French
Impressionist. All three broke through the restraints of society and exhibited
works that were as innovative as those of their male counterparts.
To register send an email to clahey@norwalkpl.org and you will receive an
email with a link to watch ArtScapades present Women of Impressionism.

Author Speak / With Vibhuti Jain / Our Best Intentions2023-03-15T12:00:00OUR BEST INTENTIONS sheds light on timely social issues: how society responds to traumatic events, including how we make sense of them; the judgements we make; and the lengths we go to, to protect ourselves and our loved ones. Jain also offers a powerful portrayal of belonging—what it’s like to fit in, but not quite—as an Indian-American, and how to navigate the dialogue around race in America. At its heart, OUR BEST INTENTIONS is a story about a father and a daughter—how they grow, how they try (and fail) to understand each other, and how their relationship evolves.
Alight lunch will be provided by the Library.

USA Financial Services / 4 CRITICAL COMPONENTS TO A SUCCESSFUL RETIREMENT .2023-03-22T18:00:00High inflation can reduce the value of your money
for critical purchases such as food, energy, health
care and daily living needs. How can you combat
these issues?
Social security benefits may be the single most
critical decision on when to elect benefits for many
Americans. Understanding how this benefit can
increase and how it is taxed is invaluable.
Federal taxes have been as high as 90%. If all your
money were tax-deferred in a retirement savings
plan how much will you have to pay in future taxes
and what is that money worth?
Market Volatility happens regularly with our
investments. When you need the money is usually
the most critical time. Creating income off your
savings is usually essential for most retirees. Learn
strategies to protect your retirement savings and
create income.
