  1. "Rocket Launching with the Discovery Museum of Bridgeport"

    The Norwalk Public Library and Discovery Museum staff have opened the partnership's hands-on-rocket launching program. Students and other library visitors will have the opportunity to engage with Discovery Museum staff in Engineering Design asking questions, brainstorming solutions, building prototypes, testing, evaluating, and redesigning their own paper rockets. Hours Now thru August 4th Sundays: 1 pm - 5 pm Mondays: 11 am - 7 pm Tuesdays: 11 am - 5 pm Wednesdays: 11 am - 7 pm Thursdays: 1 pm - 5 pm Fridays: 2 pm - 5 pm Saturdays: 1 pm - 5 pm

    The Norwalk Public Library has become an official Passport Application Acceptance Facility. U. S. Passport applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis. 1St Time Applicants Lost/ Stolen Passports Children's Renewals (Bring a completed DS-11 Passport Application Form) Please also bring A recent Passport Photo-2X2 Valid Driver's License, State Identification Card, Employee ID or Military ID Your original Birth Certificate or Naturalization Certificate (Certificate will be returned to address on your DS-11 application) Passport Fees Check or money order (NO CASH) made out to the U.S. Department of State will be accepted in the amount of $110.00 for adults and $80.00 for children, and a $35.00 fee by check or money order made out to Norwalk Public Library.     The Norwalk Public Library is pleased to offer a new Low Impact Aerobics class led by instructor Linda Lombardo, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m., in the Main Auditorium located at 1 Belden Avenue, Norwalk. . Known to local residents for her work as a Silver Sneakers instructor, Linda has been a Business Education teacher with the New Canaan, Norwalk, Fairfield, Greenwich and Stamford Public School Systems for over 20 years. She is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a health fitness instructor, personal trainer and nutrition counselor. Stop by on Tuesday or Thursday to welcome Linda and try out a new version of Low Impact Aerobics.
