Dominic Dromgoole directs this 2013 production of William Shakespeare’s comedy, filmed at the Globe Theatre in London. The cast includes John Light as Oberon/Theseus, Matthew Tennyson as Puck/Philostrate, and Michelle Terry as Titania/Hippolyta.

Rufus Norris directs Helen Edmundson’s adaptation of Andrea Levy’s novel, filmed in 2019 at the National Theatre in London. A company of 40 actors perform the play that follows three connected stories, tracing the tangled history between Jamaica and the UK.

Writer and director James Lapine adapts Moss Hart’s memoir for the stage in this 2014 Lincoln Center Theater production. The cast includes Tony Shalhoub, Santino Fontana, and Andrea Martin.

Bristol Old Vic at Home
Emma Rice’s adaptation of Angela Carter’s novel about twin chorus girls celebrating their 75th birthday on the same day their father, the greatest actor of his generation, turns 100. This production premiered at London’s Old Vic in 2018, and was filmed at the York Theatre Royal in March 2019.

A Great Performances broadcast of Emily Mann’s play about writer, organizer, and activist Gloria Steinem. Christine Lahti stars in the title role.

Yaël Farber directs this 2016 production of Lorraine Hansberry’s final play, filmed at the National Theatre in London. Danny Sapani plays Tshembe, a man who has returned home from England for his father’s funeral, to an African country teetering on the edge of civil war.

Joe Penhall’s play about a young songwriter and producer who go to battle over who owns a hit song. Roger Michell directed the production, which played at London’s Old Vic in 2018. The cast includes Ben Chaplin, Pip Carter, Kurt Egyiawan, Seána Kerslake, Jemma Redgrave, and Neil Stuke.
