  1. Chinese Nursery Rhymes and Stories

    November 13, 2019, 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM @ Children's Activity Room

    This rhymes and stories program is designed for children 2-4 years old. The children younger than 2 are also welcome, but may not benefit as much. The content includes Chinese rhymes, stories, and drawing. It focuses on encouraging children to build up good habits, developing basic math counting skills, identifying colors, shapes and animals as well as developing Chinese speaking skills. The class will be in Chinese, and with TRP, flashcards, pictures and objects. The videos will be limited, and audios of rhymes will be encouraged.   2. Preschool Storytime

    Children from the ages of 3-5 years old will have fun engaging with books, songs & activities as they build their early literacy skills.     The Norwalk Library and & the National Organization of Italian American Women Connecticut Region Present: Murder in Matera: A True Story of Passion, Family, and Forgiveness in Southern Italy Join us for a journey into the heart of Matera, the Italian city designated European Capital of Culture in 2020, with Helene Stapinski, author of Murder in Matera: A True Story of Passion, Family, and Forgiveness in Southern Italy. The author will read from and present her memoir which unveils a remarkable family saga while capturing the beauty, the grit, and the conditions of women's lives in southern Italy in the late 1800s.
