  1. "Rocket Launching with the Discovery Museum of Bridgeport"

    July 17, 2019, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM @ Main Lobby

    The Norwalk Public Library and Discovery Museum staff have opened the partnership's hands-on-rocket launching program. Students and other library visitors will have the opportunity to engage with Discovery Museum staff in Engineering Design asking questions, brainstorming solutions, building prototypes, testing, evaluating, and redesigning their own paper rockets. Hours Now thru August 4th Sundays: 1 pm - 5 pm Mondays: 11 am - 7 pm Tuesdays: 11 am - 5 pm Wednesdays: 11 am - 7 pm Thursdays: 1 pm - 5 pm Fridays: 2 pm - 5 pm Saturdays: 1 pm - 5 pm

  2. Preschool Storytime

    Children from the ages of 3-5 years old will have fun engaging with books, songs & activities as they build their early literacy skills.   1. Hiding Anne Frank

    Written and Performed by Prudence Wright Holmes Miep Gies was a 32 year old secretary in Otto Frank's office when he asked her to help him and his family hide from the Nazis. She immediately said yes. At great risk to her own life, she bought food and other supplies to the Franks on a daily basis for over two years. After the Franks were arrested, she save Anne's diary and later went to Gestapo Headquarters and tried to buy the Frank's freedom. Miep was knighted by Queen Juliana of the Netherlands and later attended the Academy Awards in 2010 where she won an Oscar for the film based on her book Remembering Anne Frank.
